Steve purchased this agency in 1999 from Mark Goldberg. Steve worked closely with Mark and his customers for several years and when Mark retired Steve purchased his agency. Associated Insurance Agency, Inc. is the flagship agency and all the insurance business is consolidated into this agency’s operations.
Our agency hires insurance professionals with a wide range of expertise. Their specialties include, but not limited to: manufacturing, contracting, wholesalers, retail, technology, agri-services, professional liability, assisted living facilities, trucking, farming, transportation, wood products, equipment and implement dealers.
Our goal is to provide each of our clients with the best customer service, the best insurance products, the best insurance carriers, and the best premiums. We are proud of the fact that our agents are students of the insurance industry and not merely sales people.
Associated Insurance Agency Inc. represents over twenty different insurance carriers. The insurance carriers range from stock national carriers to regional mutual companies. They all have financial ratings from Best of A- or better. The agency works with several bonding companies and several excess and surplus lines brokers.
Our Office is located at 4851 Larson Beach Road in McFarland WI. We are members of the Mc Farland Chamber of Commerce and the Independent Insurance Agent’s of Wisconsin. Our agency thrives on referrals from our customers.
Stephen M. Eddington started in the insurance business in 1984 working with his father who had worked for a national insurance company for 30 years. Steve had worked in the retail trade for ten years before entering the insurance business. When Steve’s father retired after 30 years with Sentry Insurance he started an independent agency. Steve purchased his father’s book of business in 1990. After his father fully retired due to illness Steve struck out on his own and started Stephen M. Eddington Insurance, Inc. in 1993.
Steve joined forces with a group of five independent agencies and started a limited liability company which combined their efforts for marketing and expense control purposes. In 2004 the members disbanded and Steve reorganized the LLC with Steve being the sole member for that company.
Steve purchased this agency in 2001 from McFarland State Bank. The agency was established in1952, the same year Steve was born. This agency served the McFarland community for personal and business insurance and had an office in the local bank building. McFarland Insurance Services was the only independent agency in the village and remains so today. Steve had been a resident of the village for over 30 years and had always wanted to own this agency. When the opportunity came in 2001 Steve jumped at the chance to purchase the agency and went on to combine this agency with his other insurance offices and relocate them from Madison to the McFarland area in 2003.
